Ad Astra Per Aspera. The Latin phrase — translation: “To the stars through difficulties” — is printed twice on Kansas State’s spring football media guide — once above the 2007 schedule, which loosely tells the story of the Wildcats’ 5-7 season; the other below the Kansas flag on the back cover. It’s the Kansas state motto. And, apparently for this spring, it’s the Kansas State motto. …
